Has any one heard of Quarella quartz from Italy, Have been told that this is very similar to Cimstone. We were quoted £2600 original for the Cimstone but there was problems with the supplier and now they are selling Quarella in it's place. However, another granite/marble specialist company has advised against buying it due to it's inferior quality. Advice please. Thanks.

Patchy quality. Stay clear.
From experience, I rate Silestone, Ceasarstone, Compaq and Quartzforms as the top tier and Cimstone, Technistone, Arenastone in the second tier.
However none of them are without their faults. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

A friend is planning a new kitchen at the moment and is considering a quartz worktop. Can you expand on the various faults please?0 -
Its a manufactured product. There is always a chance things will go wrong. One can and should never rule it out. How well your supplier sorts it out is the questions and a better brand is much less likely to go wrong than a cheaper one. You ultimately do get what you pay for. We’ve had to remove your signature. Our Ceasarstone has been in about 10 years & is as good as new. It took the supplier two attempts to get it right though, some parts were slightly different colour so had to changed.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

We are a worktop fabricators and have done many quartz tops.
Silestone & Ceasarstone are our biggest suppliers, then next probably Quarella, occasionally you will get issues but it is very rare, and generally have had no more issues with Quarella than we do with any other quartz supplier and any problems there have been have always been swiftly sorted out. We dont do too much with Simstone but i certainly wouldn't put them in a bracket above Quarella.
Most problems that might occur should be dealt with by your fabricators anyway.0
