Argos Card have my details wrong/won't talk to me

Hi, I registered and received an Argos store card last summer and bought a laptop on a buy now pay in twelve months deal. I moved house last month and today called them to give them my new address and to make a payment. When going through the security checks the operator told me the address I'd given her on the phone (the address where I applied for the card and have just moved from) does not match the address they have for me on record, and therefore they can't talk to me because of the data protection act!
I told her I have argos statements sitting in front of me which have the address I'd just given her on them. Ignoring that fact, she told me that their details are correct, insinuating I've given them the wrong address, and that no one can talk to me until I've given them the address they have on file!
Clearly something has gone wrong on their system. Does anyone have advice on what I should do, or who to talk to? Clearly, not Argos...
Thanks in advance!

I would pop into an Argos store and go the Customer Services section, explain the problem and ask them to ring from the store, hopefully between the 2 staff members and you being present you can sort it out.0

Thanks, that's a good idea.0

Why not set up a direct debit for the paying back of the item.0
