Anyone heard of domcom heating for a new boiler installation?

We just bought a house with a traditional boiler and tank system, we want to replace it with a combi boiler and had various quotes, british gas being the most expensive at around £3800. We also had someone around from this company called domcom uk (won't let me post the link) and he quoted us for £2400 which is really tempting although we would prefer a finance deal with 0% interest.
We never heard of this company and we are worried to end up regretting a deal that seems too good to be true...any help?

Why do you want to replace a (presumably) working system boiler with a combi? Even at £2400 it will still take you 10 years or more to recover the capital outlay.

Presumably you mean .co.uk?

If so the business (limited company) has been around for over 6 years.
However, he classifies the business as "Management consultancy activities other than financial management"

Looking at the website, it appears to be a consutancy business offering things like EPCs, asbestos surveys, fire risk assesments etc.

So it sounds as though any boiler installation offer has been subbed out to someone else (no doubt with the addition of his own mark-up)

Seek a couple of quotes (and free advice!) from locally recommended approved gas installers and compare.


Edit: The bloke who owns & runs the business is 68 years old.
3 years back he also started a surveyors business (no info but probably similar services) . He's also previously been involved in a similar type of business too (my guess from the name)
This year he started a florists company.
