in Credit cards
Hi All!
About 6 months ago, someone ripped off my credit card and started charging loads of stuff to it (about 1k).
I destroyed my card; the bank reissued another and got rid of the illegal transactions, so I didn't really think much more about it...
About 3 months ago, the same thing happened to a close friend of mine.
Again, he got all the money back, so wasn't overly bothered by it.
Today, I was speaking to another friend of mine - who's had the same thing happened to him.
My first thought was "wow, it's amazing how much this is happening these days" - but then he raised something that I hadn't really thought of - that maybe the 3 instances are related. It seems that he and my other friend suspect an online game we play (quite a popular one) may be the source of our troubles.
I'm going to check my bank statements later and see whether the date I subscribed to the game was before the fraud or not....assuming it turns out to be - what do we do next...
We don't really have any proof of this, besides the fact that we all paid them and all got ripped off...Should we tell our banks of our suspicions? The police?
Thanks in advance, any advice appreciated!

Tell the bank of your suspicions - and advise your friends to do the same.
I don't think you would get far with the police unless you have already been contacted by them.0
