Dumpling £7.20 is better than a poke in the eye! :D

Candlelight I'm jealous - I love rhubarb, and I can make a really good "Strubarb" (strawberry and rhubarb) crumble, but sadly I don't ever get given any, and we don't have the wherewithal to grow it ourselves.:(

    Afternoon all

Had a very early start this morning. DH said we'd leave home in the night but ended up leaving just after midnight. Arrived in Edinburgh about 9am and are very tired! It got to lunchtime and it felt more like tea time. Roll on bedtime.

Hope you are all having a good day :)

    Hi all,

I'm not managing to post much and not always reading due to having my head in cupboards and packing boxes. Our move suddenly seems very close .Anyway I'm having a minute before I start tea :p.Actually its been so lovely I went out to the front garden to do some weeding in the rockery.

I wont get much done tomorrow as I'm minding DGS,his Mum swapped one of her work days this week.

Judi the photos and the bride were beautiful and S is very cute .

Elona,I will be thinking of you all on Saturday & I'm glad you managed to have some special times with DH before he got too bad.The flower in the buttonhole does seem like a little message somehow.(((Hugs)))

Right, off to cook a gammon in my pressure cooker, only takes 20 mins.We took a card to our friends for his birthday last night and we have been offered the loan of a mini oven/hob so at least I'll be able to still use the pressure cooker.Hope we wont be without a kitchen too long :D,not holding my breath though.
Hugs to all in need x

    Good evening everyone,

Its been a beautiful sunny day today, although rather hot at work in the kitchen, I was glad to finish today. All our seedlings we've planted out are doing well.

Elona it sounds like Saturday will be a joyful celebration of your DH and the wonderful life you have had together, you and your family have happy memories to cherish.

csarina, sounds like you had a lovely trip.

busiscoming, at least you have a couple of days to recover before the big day, hope the weather is kind to you.

RosyRed hope the move goes well.

Well I would love to stay and chat, but unfortunately have a large pile of ironing to tackle. smileys-household-837416.gif

Hugs to everyone, have a good evening.

    Evening all,

Its been a lovely mild day today, went to knitting group this morning, we have a fairly new member who is really lovely, 73 and always beautifully turned out, she had us in stitches telling us of her actions when her OH thought he had lost all their holiday money at the airport, certainly a glass almost full person and lovely to be around.

Met DD4 for lunch, she was at the hospital this morning, all well, was waiting to collect DGS2 from school so we had a nice chat, was very naughty though and had a BLT,which was fine, following that up with coffee cake and a latte was not fine!

LW.......recipe for crumble, please? I think that ours is a bit slow this year, will pick whatever is there tomorrow and freeze what I dont cook....its a great stanby through the winter for puddings.....a sponge mix with some rhubarb stirred in before baking makes a lovely moist cake for use as pudding with custard, cream or ice cream, is also nice cold as a cake.

Elona...hope that your back is better.

Hester....you are such a busy woman, you make me feel guilty...

Dumpling....congratulations on your win.......dont spend it all at once!

Judi......enjoy the rest of your time with your visitors. I havent been able to wear my wedding ring for years, its too small, some years ago I asked OH to buy me some kind of gold ring for Christmas, thats what I wear now, but often wear no ring as I am afraid I might .ose it when I go swimming.

Sleep well all, dogs and I are going for a walk in the garden

Thankyou though my visitors are in London at the moment fund raising for the baby house.

My other daughter is having the time of her life on her 'familymoon'.

I asked my 'kids' for a spot picture this morning. I got this from my daughter.

My son on the other hand sent me this.
