Title Deeds - Removing lender ristriction?

Any help in understanding this?
Tittle Deeds -
Under Title Absolute,
I have the following - "Restriction: Except under an order of the register no disposition by the proprietor of the land or made in exercise of power of sale in any Charge subsequent so that date ...1984 in favour of (old mortgage company name) referred to in the Charges Register is to be registered without the consent of the proprietor for the time being of said charge"
This is all Dutch to me but I presume that this is related to the lender? Does the quote just refer to the lender/mortgage company holding an interest?
The mortgage is now paid off. The mortgage company did say the would have its entry removed. This has not happened.
How do I go about removing this entry? Speak to the former lender or approach the land registry itself?
I'm just confused.

When the charge that the restriction refers to is discharged and removed the restriction should come off as well.
If the charge has been removed but the restriction remains then contact us.
If the charge has yet to be discharged then you would contact the lender to 'chase'“Official Company Representative
