You would have received warnings if you said or did anything insulting and/or demeaning to or in front of a colleague that was witnessed and/or documented by others.
If you simply act in a way that shows a lack of respect - not showing gratitude, always thinking you're right and they're wrong (lack of empathy), or wasting their time - they'll be hostile, unhelpful, and not want to work with you. Oh, hold on...
