To excavate to revised levels, surplus materials to be carted to our tip. Construct insitu concrete base 100mm thick. Supply and lay sand stone paving, bedded on sharp sand mortar. Finished levels to discharge surface water. Joints to be grouted and double weathered pointed.

    why not dig out the area yourself and remove the soil yourself? Hire a skip and digger-

    Well for approx 24 sq metres I have just been quoted £3360 inc vat to replace and slightly extend my patio. Stone specified as riven Indian sandstone. No type of stone specified on yours. Yours has a new concrete base, mine just says supply 2 metres 'type 1' whatever that may be.

    I'm getting two more quotes next week ...
