Hi,
Can someone suggest what sat navs are good these days?
I've seen this which looks decent:
http://www.tesco.com/direct/tomtom-go-400-43-sat-nav-with-lifetime-western-europe-maps-lifetime-traffic-updates/374-5178.prd?skuId=374-5178
Not really sure how often I will use it, starting a new job which will occasionally require travel to clients. Think I'd prefer a proper satnav than using my phone.
Seems most of them have traffic and lifetime maps nowadays? Lane guidance would be nice (is this actually any good?)

I spotted this in Aldi. It looks like a good deal.

The lifetime map updates makes it good value. I like tomtom but their maps at around £45 an update are a real rip.0

Lumia 435, £15 on upgrade. Nokia maps is excellent IMO.0

That is the best Garmin deal that I have ever seen.
Go for it.0 -
Another vote for the Aldi deal, free traffic alerts and free map updates.0

Definitely go for the Aldi deal, if you can find one!
One small word of caution re life time updates. These are for the useful life of the device and not forever. (Same for all manufacturers and not just Garmin AFAIK)

Should be good for a few years but something people should be aware of.0 -

It doesn't say so on Aldi's advert.
I was just making the point that the same sat nav is available elsewhere for the same price...
