Hi, currently with Talktalk and really happy with the service (used them for 10+ years no problem). As well as the price rise, we're losing 0845/0870 free calls.
Loads of companies still advertise giving you free calls to these numbers, SSE, SKY etc. Talk talk reckon that the other companies will pull these on 1st June, is this true? If so anyone got a source, as if I'm going to lose them elsewhere anyway, I'd rather just haggle with talktalk and not bother leaving.
Thanks.

Sky also stopping free calls to those numbers, seems to be a Government decree so no choice.0

There should be little impact. The loss of inclusive calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers won't be missed.
Most organisations have moved to 0345 and 0370 numbers. These are inclusive calls from landlines and from mobiles.
Those that have not changed their number by 1 July 2015 will have to declare the applicable Service Charge everywhere their number is advertised from that date. Those that cannot justify imposing this additional charge on callers must change their number to one that does not impose a Service Charge.
