La Mon Hotel & Country Club have a brilliant family friendly Sunday Carvery. Complete with a bouncy castle, face painters and balloon artist. It is relaxed and great value: Adults £19.50 Children: £11 for Five Courses. It is best to book in advance as they have 4 Sittings every Sunday and it is really popular!!

Wow thanks! Just looked at the La Mon website and their Sunday Carvery looks great. At £45 for a family of 4 it looks like it could be a nice afternoon out (considering we spend £40ish for a couple of hours at Pizza Hut). Think that's Sunday Dinner sorted, no cooking for me! Thanks againJust little old me!0

If you're out that direction I'd really recomend La Mon as already mentioned earlier, I've found it hard to beat.0 -

Hey all,
Just wondering what the latest reviews are on carveries...
Between Stormont Hotel and La Mon.
Am in the Downpatrick area so these are accessible. Carrick, Ballymena are a bit far. It is for my Dad's birthday and I'll have 3 people 80+ years of age. It is a toss up between 'quantity' and 'quality' though *sigh* My dad and uncle are happy to eat as much as they can, whereas my mum and I would like something edible! (my mum in particular would like a nice selection of desserts!)
We haven't been to either Stormont or La Mon in years so any help in deciding would be great. If there is somewhere else you'd recommend instead, please do.

Stormont is bigger, more expensive, and has a bigger selection for all courses, especially desserts. Do I remember only being allowed to go up for dessert once in La Mon?!!
Food's of the same quality in both though.0
