Hi
I have quite a bit of debt and I am wanting to go into a DAS. I am due to receive money for a road accident but my wife wants it paid into her account due to my gambling problem and the money I have used from our family. If i enter into a DAS and pay the claim into her account will they find out about it? I live in Scotland
Any advice appreciated

When you say "will they find out about it" what do you mean by "they"?
It probably makes sense to tell your money adviser about it, so that they can give you advice. Maybe the adviser could help you get full and final settlement offers together, so that you don't even need to go into a DAS.
If creditors find out about the money, they might object to the DAS because they think you should use the money to pay back your debts. If that happens, the DAS Administrator would have to look at those comments. They might still approve the DAS.
If all of your creditors agree to the DAS, then it'll get approved.
You don't have to put assets into DAS - it's one of the advantages of the Scheme. But definitely speak to a money adviser about everything.0
