Halifax Mortgage Timeline

Hi,

Does anyone know (latest timeline) how long does Halifax take to book the surveys? They took the monies last Wednesday and still havent heard anything regarding booking of Survey.

Application is via broker.

  • If it helps, my Halifax application (via a broker) was submitted 6/5/15 - the valuation fee was taken 8/5/15 and I have today been told by my broker that the valuation has been instructed.

  • This was my timeline with Halifax (this was end of March/beginning of April)

    24/3 Mortgage application to Halifax via broker (including 3mths payslips and bank statements) also paid valuation fee there and then.
    01/4 Valuation Survey
    *Easter Bank Holiday Weekend*
    07/4 Received Valuation Survey in post.
    08/4 Phone call to say all is well and mortgage offer is in the post


    Fingers crossed you don't have to wait much longer. We weren't told when they were doing the valuation survey, we just happened to call the estate agent on the same morning and he told us.
