I really fight with myself between long term goals and enjoying life now. I’m so so lucky to have options now that we’re just a dream a few years ago. Tonight I’m thinking to make an aggressive blast at this mortgage until May anyway.

Pulling the reigns in now after a really fun Xmas! I’m going to cut down on coffees and start making my own lunches too. Get back to basics of saving again!

To be honest, it's not really hit home yet :o all I can say is, it is strange to see most of my salary still sitting in my bank account, as it usually disappeared fast.

However defrosted my 2nd (spare) freezer tonight and thought I really ought to get another frost free one :D so list of "wants/needs" grows by the day :rotfl:

I’m well settled in the new job now and I can work from home any time which is amazing for the kids. Looking forward to paying my last dividend of this tax year towards my mortgage. Then I’ll decide what to put to a pension and how much to keep in the business as a buffer for if I don’t have a job. Exciting times! Feeling lucky!

I’ve moved some funds and done some calcs. By May I will have my mortgage down to approx £169,000.00. Well on target for this year!

Anything I earn between now and The end of the tax year I will keep in my business account and decide later what to put to a pension or save for BTL property in the future.

Slow decision making from me but it’ll come in time when I decide what I’m getting up to!

So I’ve had a day of batch cooking! Made some nice healthy dinners in the slow cooker and I have another batch of food to throw in the slow cooker tomorrow. Lots of lunches and dinners on the go!!! I also bought Qunioa today to see what all the fuss is about. Plan to make some nice salads for lunches.

Offered overtime today. So tempting but think I need to keep my sanity!!

If I do it I need to do it at a time that doesn’t effect my sanity too much. Lol
