can you recommend a UK family break please :-)

Right - i think i'll take the week off from the 27th Aug (bank Monday) and would like to go away somewhere in the UK - but i dont know where and i dont know what kind of break i need!!. The thought of going abroad with a 3 year yr old and an 18 month old doesnt really float my boat.

So obviously i want somewhere super friendly in the UK to stay whether its a self catering cottage or a B&B or hotel i'm fairly flexible. The Main priority is that its child friendly, clean and theres plenty to do in the daytimes.

So i was wondering if anyone has anywhere they can recommend please?

Many thanks in advance :)

Devon/East Devon, unless you are here already. Sorry but my cottage is already fully-booked for then by an old school friend with a 3 y.o and 18 month old. They came here just before Easter and liked it so much that they are coming again!

Apart from the beaches (sandy or shingle) there are places like Bicton Park (gardens/indoor & outdoor children's play areas and train), Pecorama, Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, Crealy, Pennywell Farm etc etc which are all child-friendly and have been road-tested by my own kids as well as my friend's little boys. The scenery is lovely and the people are friendly. The weather is pretty decent at the moment too! PM me if you want more info.

You need to narrow your options down a bit,:rotfl:

You'll also find that everywhere is busy because of the B/H, though you may get a good deal if you do a midweek break from the B/H onwards from somewhere like Pontins.
