Help - Debt collectors letter re flashpark

Please help if you can.
I have received a letter from a company called CCS COLLECT. It states they have been instructed to collect the above sum (£115.00) which relates to a parking charge notice that was issued in respect of vehicle registration number --- --- (my vehicle) on the 10th March 2015.
The letter goes on to say that the vehicle was observed to have contravened the parking regulations as set down and displayed. The parking charge has remained unpaid prompting our client (flash park) to engage CCS to collect the sum detailed above on their behalf. The full amount must be paid within 14 days of this letter to avoid probable further action.
This is the only letter I have received and I have not had any correspondence from the company called flash park.
I was about to call the company but a friend advised me to come on here first.
The letter does say where my car was parked and that information is correct.
I work on a business park and there is nowhere near enough parking for everyone - one of the units across from where I work closed down and before they left a few of us asked if we could park there. We were informed that we were ok to use it as long as we all stopped using it if the unit was to be occupied again. A few months ago signs went up to say it was private land but I (and a number of other work colleagues) carried on parking there as we had permission from the previous owners.
Now I don't know what to do - any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you read the NEWBIES sticky thread, right at the top of the forum? It would be right there pretty much in your face when you clicked the "New Thread" button. Post #4 of that thread is what you need to read.
Whatever you do, NEVER phone them.0 -
As above, never ever 'phone a debt collector, or a private parking company for that matter.
Do not panic. Debt collectors have np power. They cannot send the bailifs around, they cannot take you to court, they can do nothing other than send you free (but poor quality) bog paper.I married my cousin. Thank you for the quick reply. I did look at the site before I posted my thread but think I must have been in the wrong place as it said "please write your own thread rather than linking into someone else's" but the one you have directed me to says I shouldn't have wrote a new thread - sorry about that. Thanks for your help and advice - much appreciated. So if I send a letter - should I send a copy to both companies?0 -

you can certainly do that, then go into IGNORE MODE unless you get a genuine LBCCC or an MCOL in the post over the next 6 years
or IGNORE them both unless you receive an LBC or MCOL
NEVER, NEVER PHONE THEM0 -
If you need advice then starting your own thread was the way to do it (as opposed to hijacking someone else's). The Newbies thread says not to start new threads about debt collector letters because we're bored rigid with them and everything you need to know is already in the Newbies thread i.e. they are powerless, ignore.Je suis Charlie.0
