Ticket from smart parking

Hi,
I've read the useful facts on the forum but I'm still a little confused.
Someone borrowed my car today and was issued a windscreen ticket for £70 for parking in a loading bay. They ran in to get a key cut.
Anyway where do I stand? I've been given the ticket but I presume they need to also write to me?
I've had a ticket in the past where the car was left in a parking bay for longer than was allowed. I wrote to them and Informed them I wasn't the driver and it went away.
Things may have changed since then though.

Nothing' much has changed in the last 2.5 years. Except that the PPCs have got very greedy, and will not be so gentle and lax any more. No excuses will make them relent.
