2 entries for same debt

Looking at hubs credit file on noddle and Equifax
he has the default registered with the dca on 14/03/2013
but then ccj for the same debt exactly a year later
Is this correct reporting?
the CCJ was only for part of the debt not the whole thing.
the amount that has been paid for the CCJ has now been satisfied but how do we get this updated on the credit files?
there is still further debt to pay for the balance to the DCA directly which he does via stepchange.
Any ideas?

Yes it is correct that a credit account entry with default would appear as well as a CCJ.
The judgement date is a factual date, presumably just a co-incidence that it is exactly a year after default.
Regarding a notice of satisfaction for the CCJ - you can apply to the court for such a notice info on this link http://www.trustonline.org.uk/understand-judgments-fines/ccjs-and-county-courts/certificate-of-satisfaction-satisfied-vs-unsatisfied-ccjsA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
