I would expect the judge to see what you are doing and refuse the claim, or the respondent to apply to have the case transferred to the fast track. Alternatively it could still be heard in the SCC but with costs awarded to the losing party.
You can see why you need advice here - the respondent may well see it in their interest for you to claim a higher amount.
I also can't see any substance to your claim, except that they favour larger investors. That is how the stock market works I'm afraid - arguably unfair, but not unlawful.0 -
ok thanks, I will seek advise and keep this thread informed.
Is there someone who can comment on the capital loss aspect of lapsed rights?0 -

What did you do with the rights that were with the other broker that were added to your account on the 22nd?
I think this would also be key to whether you may or may not have a claim.0 -
Thanks Tonton.
Thanks Superhan. I have raised a legal query on another website and a financial query on another one.
I am quite surprised that in a country like us we have no justice in this regards. An unfair practice is legalised for the benefit of these big crooks.0 -

Did you read what I said in an earlier post about pure economic loss and research into that?
Unless they have breached the contract you have with them, physically injured you or damaged your property, I highly suspect your claim will fail. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
