in Credit cards
I've read through some of the advice I've found on this card but I've a couple of questions which are perhaps obvious but just wanted to check.
I'm looking for the card to buy items abroad and ship them here, primarily the other Amazon sites which are sometimes quite a bit cheaper than the UK site. I currently use a Barclaycard which I think charges 3%, am I right in thinking I'd pay the straight conversion using the daily Mastercard daily exchange rate?
Is there any benefit to applying instore rather than online?
Thanks,
John

Correct no conversion and no fee involved, You will be billed in Euro. Clarity card will do conversion using MasterCard Global exchange rate which is one of the best an individual could get when foreign currency involved.
Both have advantages and disadvantageous. If you were like me, had a quite complicated credit file. It is better to apply in person ...

Do not forget that you might have to pay duty and VAT on shipments coming in. There may also be handlng fees from a courier that has to do this on your behalf.0 -
Never thought about this but also have the Clarity card. If I want to buy something abroad and have it shipped to somebody in that same country this would be a good way to use the card right?0

If you wanted to convert GBP to that currency at tomorrow's Mastercard rate, then yes.
Otherwise if it is not a gift, then the person should just buy it themselves with a local card and you can agree on how much you'll pay them back.0 -

Yes, would be gifts for my parents in law who live abroad....sometimes order flowers from a local florist etc. Been using my regular debit card but will use the clarity card in future.0 -

True, but surely which card you use wouldn't affect that?0 -
