It looks like many council estates/sink estates that are in the county I live in.
And to be fair, many of the houses are NOT near an open area, they are crammed in, and close to a massive A road, and a HUGE tesco.
I would never buy there. Then again, I would never buy new-build. Many of them are overpriced, substandard tacky hovels.
My point stands, never seen that much open space (houses around the field), and to qualify my comment will add "for a new build estate).
Agree tho, I would not buy new build, the way they are going, nevermind the outside space, the room sizes are getting crazy, with "open plan kitchens" (read not enough space for a proper kitchen) and small bedrooms etc I feel sorry for the people that pay for these places.0 -
Appreciate the comments. and no offence taken.
The reason we are looking in the area is because we have a lot of family in Peterborough, I need easy access to the A1 and the schools and shops are in short walking distance.
Where we are living now is backed by country side, nice and peaceful but with our second Lo on the way, we need the support and amenities.
OH doesn't drive and it looks at the moment we won't be able to afford a second car, so we are tied down on choice. So Hampton does tick a lot of boxes for us.
Driving around there are some very nice houses and areas (and some that are not) so this is still an area high on our list.
Just need the right house, or one that can become a nice house.0
