The only thing I can suggest is that you get a Gas Safe Engineer who know what they are doing with Worcester boilers to look at the installation, as previously stated your cold drinking water should not be coming through the boiler.

Sadly, I will get the GAS SAFE Certificate from the installer who told me it is normal.

Can you test the temperature of the hot water going into the shower by putting your hand against the inlet pipe?

I've just had a new combi boiler fitted and a new mixer shower fitted and the water from my shower is just hot enough at the full setting but the hot water pipe is a lot hotter.

This is supposed to be a safety thing where you cannot scald yourself.

I have to run my shower past the maximum temperature by going past the safety stop although this is too hot for my wife.

The only water that runs through my boiler is hot water my cold taps are fed straight from where the mains pipe comes into the house.

If you previously had a hot water tank you will be disappointed with the hot water pressure if more than one hot tap is turned on at the same time.

    I know I am.
This is supposed to be progress.

Thanks a lot for your comment.

My hot water only provide the warm water but the inlet hot water pipe is much hotter, so the installer is contacting the mixer provider to provide a new cartridge to hope to get hot water. He did test on the pipe system by putting a switch on the cold water pipe, and switch it off and only leave the hot water on, in this case, the hot water is still not hot but the hot water pipe is, wait for 10 minutes, the hot water is still only warm.

The new cartridge should be arrive next week, and I will update.

Could you please have a test for me, open your kitchen cold water pipe, and listen to your boiler in very close distance or put your ear on the surface of your boiler, can you hear the noise sounding like the water running within?

    Thanks again.

NO, my Worcester boiler is in the kitchen about two metres from the sink, there is no noise in it at all when I run any cold water fed system in the house including taps, toilets or electric shower.

That wouldn't work for me, my mains comes in under the sink, branches off to the cold tap then goes up to the attic (where the tank was) then branches off to the shower, the cold taps and toilet in the bathroom and then to the boiler.

The only time water goes through the boiler is when I turn on a hot tap or the shower.
