Well this could be the straw that, finally, breaks my back. It's been such a nice day today that, without doubt quite reasonably, I'm not feeling like going to M tomorrow. So, that could be the final M list (but I've said that before) that's been on - although, appropriately, this thread is coming near to the end anyway so this could be a good time (if there ever is any) to end:(. However, I'm already going to be very near my M tomorrow for another reason, so I might end up going anyway.
Life isn't always problem-free. I must confess to you that I am a bit of a hoarder, and have always been, although nowhere near the extent of those extreme ones you see on TV, where their houses are unsafe and don't have free passageways through the house. Nonetheless, whilst you can move freely in my house and I don't have papers bulging out and spreading across the floor, I think it's probably time to move on as these things do last and then move onto something else.
With the lack of glitches recently, although we did have the DW tablets which were good, I think I'm nearing the end of this course and it's time to move on a little. Obviously they never have any of the RTC items in my stores:rotfl:.
For example, the other week I received a newsletter through the door, but didn't have time there and then to read it - so I think I probably put it straight outside into the recycling bin. Days later, I've come to be interested in the subject of the newsletter but, having had an initial search, I can't find it now in the house (so it probably is in the recycling bin in the yard). It's typical that, if I ever throw one piece of paper out, you can guarantee that I will need that very piece of paper soon and, with my lack of prioritisation and inability to determine what is relevant and what is not (as every piece of information seems to me to have some potential relevance in some context or another and you never know when it might be useful), I keep everything - the moment I get rid of one thing, you can guarantee I'll need it. I did so with my schoolwork years ago - had a lot of exercise books piled up in the drawer, then, eventually, I chucked them all out - and, then, six months later, yes indeed it would have been useful if I had kept some of it that I had now thrown out. It's always the way - nonetheless, although I can't read the newsletter, I've decided I can live without it.
I have M price details piled up over three years. I did consider about a month ago chucking the whole lot out. I've not yet done so, but I probably will now. For the number of times I've actually gone and looked something up from them I can most likely do without them. It's been about two or three times - yet, of course, when I had not yet thrown them all out, I did need to look at something from them a couple of weeks ago. So maybe I was right to keep them but, even so, I think it is now time to get rid - bite the bullet and get rid of them and, whilst it's not got onto the stage of piling up on any floor, I've no time to go through or look at any of what might be in there so they will all have to go, unshredded, into the recycling. Indeed, I rarely look at them - in all practicality there's nothing much that I need to go back and look at for three years old but, they're no longer in any order, from the few occasions I've spent trying and trying to find where in the whole lot the piece of info. I've needed is, so I can't even determine just to keep the last year and, in any event, in two years' time it would simply be back where it is.
Maybe all good things come to an end. I'll still be here and pop in, quite likely, but (you've probably already noticed I'm not here as much as I used to - I tend just to do the M list these days and then not much else), I think I'll move on somewhat. It could be a good thing as it's maybe, just maybe, we hope, starting to get into summertime:T!0 -

As if:rotfl::rotfl::D. Maybe it's just a dip in my interest again, as something else (good summertime weather) seems more interesting! It may be just how I'm feeling at the moment - these things with me tend to go in cycles. Thanks for that womble info.:T
I did notice that those Satsumas - so expensive in A at even 87p and not 10% cheaper - had, in response, gone even higher up in price but were (are) still comparing vs M at 69p. I wasn't aware that these were 2 for £2.50 (yet again a worse mbuy than previous individual price:mad:) as they just bought one when I checked and saw it a few days ago - maybe it was on mbuy then but not marked on the SEL in my store?!, so none of my potential purchasers would ever have known:(, but it seems msm now is aware of an mbuy:( so, if two today would have been full price on the comparison, it seems they won't be tomorrow. No use for me as so expensive anyway - I've have to be buying other items in order to compare and is there anything really good anymore? - I might buy Doughnuts to get 'good' comp. of ten per cent off 47p, but then unnecessary buying of an item we wouldn't already have bought - all it's doing is costing me an extra 43p or thereabouts onto the cost of the 69p-10% Satsumas.
So, with A being so expensive on fruit, I just bought some Oranges in Aldi at straight 69p anyway. A's Satsumas are now only 600g but the ones in Aldi - I think they give a lot more for your money!0 -

Savvy if you feel that this particular special interest is waning for you, then you should go with your instincts. It sounds to me like it's causing you to fret about things associated with it like your piles of collection lists and when that starts happening, it's not enjoyable for you any more.
You know yourself that how interested you become in a subject isn't something you really have control over. Neither is how long that subject stays interesting to you.
You will know if and when it's time to move onto something else. I guess the interest finds you rather than the other way around.
If you do move on, however, do spare a thought for poor old me. the interest in old game shows here isn't waning whatsoever. Its n full swing. In fact I've just this minute heard him disappearing upstairs saying 'Go on dollies, do your dealing' :rotfl:0 -
You would all laugh if you saw me with my magnifying glass checking the numbers on the receipts.I have gained my distance vision but lost my reading vision:rotfl:and can't get new glasses for 6 weeks.0
