There isn't a great deal of change in M today (I realise that some people will already have stopped reading now:rotfl:) - not a great deal compared to last week anyway, and probably a bit less than a "normal" week if there is any such thing! However, it seems the Pampers Baby Dry nappies (own brands may still be cheaper:D) may be a too good an offer in M as I have the £4.25 offers as ending tomorrow. They clearly do not want to be selling them at that price for too long!
Should it be that there is any 5 for £1 sweets offer anymore and any trigger, note that the Candyland Fruit Salad (36g) is now straight 20p each in M. (I don't know if it compares to M though unfortunately. Perhaps it does. If so, I don't expect it to get 20p until the update is done possibly tomorrow.) If this worked, it would work out at a total of 16p net. for five packs of sweets!! Is there any M at all currently for this item on the APG? Anyone know? TIA.
Elsewhere, a lot of the stationery items that have been on offer and appeared on the M list have now gone down in price even further:(. So I hope no-one fell for those. They now include M Savers Black/Blue Ballpoint Pens (10 pack) at 18p. These are not store specific offers as I have them in both the stores I checked today. At that price, that's enough for me to buy them out:D. I hope they do not go down to 8p later. There have been various offers on these pens - the worst of them was one with a points offer:rotfl:.
I also have some assorted CDs and DVDs at £2. You can get CDs cheaper on Amazon, even after postage costs, with 1p sales. Or even why bother at all? - just use Youtube or videos on the internet for free. However, if anyone does need the physical product, perhaps it could be useful as part of a £15 spend - although the products themselves don't give any M&M Match points back - if you are already close to spending that much. I'm not going to bother to try to get details of every one of the titles and artists - which surely must vary store to store - I would still be there until the end of the night and it would be a rather pointless exercise.
However, some of the titles of the DVDs I saw included "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby", "The Cable Guy", "Indecent Proposal" and "The Scorpion King" - although I reckon many people already have them. On the CDs, they are called "Big Name Artist Albums" and they are albums by artists that have been popular. They include artists such as Fall Out Boy, Dizzie Rascal, Tulisa, the album "JLS" by JLS (I hear they have been popular somewhere) and an album by Wet Wet Wet, although not one of their albums that I recognise much. I think it's a case of, if you are going to M, pop down there and see what you can find. And then probably watch them be £1 next week:rotfl:.
Elsewhere, the main items that are no longer on offer in M are items in the frozen foods area. Brain's 6 pack Faggots are off, as are the Harry Ramsden and the Cod in Breadcrumbs, the Rice Fusions, Chicago pizzas, R White Lemonade Lollies and Nestle Fab Strawberry and Bird's Eye Chicken Pies. All :(back up to full price. And T is not "still" cheaper but is "now" cheaper on the Quorn Mince 500g, but only because M has gone up from £1.49 to £2.99! Not much point as now a penny more expensive in T (oh, and same in S as well now apparently) than they were in M yesterday. However, Nestle Minis and Rowntree Minis Lollies are still on offer in M.
As usual, there's more - probably much much more. I have, fortunately, only one sheet of paper today - two sides but very small writing on some of it!
As for previous Tvs M, I have no idea what price the Boddington's Bitter (18x440ml) now is in M as both of my stores have removed the offer card, but probably suggests they are no longer £10. Whoever can tell. However, I'm going to remove them anyway as shortchanging you by 2 cans compared to my guide price. Otherwise, although there (apparently) isn't much change, it's 'perfectly hopeless' as my main store was still changing labels at the time I was there. I would have thought 2 o'clock in the afternoon would have been enough time? However, seems they may have been sleeping in and, despite not having to change as much as last week, they were still putting labels on the shelf. When I went back to where they'd been it wasn't any use for us however - they'd simply put a red label £1.50 'reduced to clear' on top to draw attention to an item that already had had a SEL of £1.50 and was situated next to another flavour of the same product at £1:rotfl:. Whilst was being done, still a lot of offer labels on aisle ends outstanding on offers that have now expired. So, as is usual with the whole of society in general, they do the thing that is unnecessary and then fail to do what they should. It's alright - I've come to expect it:rotfl:.
Oh! I ought to mention the dog food tins - I've gone down to own brand as the branded ones on Eday prices are too high priced:rotfl:. There's no need to buy the 12 pack cans at £4.50 for 50p of extra points (=£4 for 12 or equiv. of £2 for 6) as the 6 pack cans are now on 2 for £4, so same price for 12 and give the benefit immediately. That's unless you need the dog food cans and are 50p short of the next £5, in that instance the 12 can packs may be the better option, if you aren't collecting points from elsewhere.
Finally, I found some Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate Cooking Chocolate on 80p. I imagined that there might be some Milk Chocolate version as well, but my store did not have any stock or any SEL saying that there was. All was well however as I found the Milk Chocolate version, indeed, on 80p in my second store - and no price label at all for the Dark Chocolate:rotfl:. (Good job I had that from the first store.) So, whichever store I had started with first, I would have ended up info. being needed from the other!:laugh:0 -
