I don't think that would affect it - I did have trouble the last time (I think I paid by debit card) and it was all sorted out when I rang. I had to pay the full amount and then it was about a 2-3 weeks or so later I got the £10 back. I had to wait until the returns period was up before I phoned again and they then actioned the refund.
