However....i have brought wallpaper for everywhere - my bedroom, lil mans bedroom and front room - and just been told cannot wallpaper for first 2 years (have to wait for settlement cracks!), am absolutely gutted - i really dont want to live with Magnolia walls! builder has told me i can paint - has anyone seen any bargains anywhere for paint? i know this probably isnt the right place to ask, but having been reading this thread for weeks now and trying to learn tips off you all (im slowly getting there!) i thought i'd ask anyway...thanks xx
If you are going to decorate it yourself, think about investing in a spray gun. They are fairly easy to use, are fast and are economical on the paint.0 -

I remember couple months back was a funny smell in Poppy's food cupboard . Further investigation found a blown tin the smell was _pale_ I bagged it up and took back to Mr T's customer serviceWomen just took one look at bag with tin in and told me to go and get another couple tins from shelf to replace it . Got back to customer service and she had a £5 gift card waiting . Glad I didn't throw it away had no receipt but tin was Mr T dog food and well in date

RL overwhelming at the moment -- have tried to catch up a bit and it doesn't seem as if there are glitches around for CC orders. Is that true, please?
Juat a thought about cleaners. I go away for work quite a bit and got totally stressed out before I went since on top of the packing etc, I had to tidy up so my cleaner could clean and also find the right money to leave. She left to become a teaching assistant (which I encouraged!) and I decided to buy one of those iRobot Roomba hoovers instead of finding someone else. I have never looked back. The first one died just after the guarantee so I got the next one from John Lewis with an extended three year warranty. It has now been going for well over two years and Mum's has been fine for ages so I think I was just unlucky the first time. I hate hoovering but don't mind other housework so this was definitely a good option for me.

We have used plenty of things that were further out of date than that. Don't forget that canning was invented before use by dates. If something looks OK and smells OK then it almost certainly is!
Unless the tin is rusty or blown it is likely to be good, the only thing that might be dodgy is if the tin is seriously dented.
I know I would have just left them there until I thought about using them. But Mr TS had a bee in his bonnet so I didn't interfere. That was the only 2 things he did get rid of though.
I absolutely hate it when things get thrown away, they were both things I would never actually buy for us, and even though I didn't pay for them I still felt bad they went in the bin.0 -

We had bought one of these and sent it with DS1 when he went to Uni, the hoover came back... but without the charger. We put in the loft, saying that we would get another charger but never did.... we took it to tip this weekend! It is a good job really as the dog used to hate it:eek::eek::eek:100
