I was just thinking how to word it without someone getting on their high horse and having a pop but
Why generally does the woman have the surgery to look younger are your eyes that bad you cant see your man is also ageing :rotfl:
I love my wife and we have been together since  well a long time ago :rotfl: We have both changed togetherand whats wrong with that we are not 20 anymore and I would not want her disfiguring herself trying to be and I sure as hell am not going under the knife .
These people that are made in Harley St must constantly be thinking of the next modification they need
Why bother enjoy life and dont worry about the trivial things its a wrinkle/crows feet/not quite as perky as before/bit more padding/etc :rotfl:

I have been really daft ! I turned the cooker hotplates off and leaned over to turn the microwave off - and put my bloomin right hand lat on the just turned off hotplate !!! My language was fit for a navvy and I've just spent an hour or so in the local Minor Injuries unit having all my fingers and the palm of my hand dressed. And I've got to go back for re-dressing tomorrow and again on Monday. Then they reckon I will have a silicone dressing on for a whole week.
Got family visitors coming Monday and my hand is more or less out of action. Can't get the dressings wet so no showere tonight either. I am totally piddled off at my own stupidity.
Oh no poor you such a easy thing to do . hope it is not to painfull . I know how much burns hurt from the boiling water on my chest incident last year. Ended with some nasty scars. and take care and let the visitors see to themselves. If they are family they will not mind.xx0 -

DD1 and DD2 had their 20 week scans today, DD1 all ok. DD2 was told all fine except when they came to do the measurements. The sonographer said the leg measurements weren't where they should be on the graph and asked for someone else to come in to check he was taking the right measurements as the baby was in the wrong position. He mentioned the word dwarfism (which I don't think he should have as he's not an expert). They've asked her to come back next week when she will be scanned by 2 consultants. So she was going to be a whole week worrying.
They've put the fear of God in her and she rang me from the hospital sobbing. DD1 rang a local private hospital and they managed to fit her in for another scan this afternoon (a few hours later). The lady was very nice and said its very rare for something like dwarfism which is usually picked up at 12 weeks and her 12 week scan was fine. She also said they have many people going in for scans after being worried by a previous scan and 9/10 they all turn out fine. The leg measurement from the 2nd scan showed 3mm below what it should be on the graph they work to and she's put her back a week so baby due a week later.
The lady sonographer gave her a print off of the graph and I've had a look at it, and as a lay person it really is just beneath the line it should be.
I've stopped looking on netmums and mumsnet and the like as don't want to read into things but most people were saying everything turned out normal for them.
So we've just reassured her all we can, but just wish the first sonographer had just said something like we've not been able to take all the measurements we need as the baby is in the wrong position and asked her to come back the following week.
Fingers crossed for next week
We had a similar experience at 12 weeks with a sonographer who wasn't fully qualified
It wasn't the leg measurement we had issue with though, it was the nuchal fold (the one that gives an indication of likelihood of Down's Syndrome).
She said she couldn't get DD2 in the right position. The mrs belly was rocked and rolled and poked and prodded. She was made to go for walks and to drink cold fluids but nothing moved the baby into the right position. A senior sonographer was called in but couldn't get it either and said it wasn't an essential measurement so we were sent home and weren't invited back. They don't measure it at 20 weeks because it's no longer indicative by that stage
We were never sure if the trainee truly couldn't get an accurate measurement or if they just didn't have the confidence to tell us they took a measurement that would suggest the baby was going to have Down's. You can't help but wonder "what did they see? what are they not telling me? etc" but a few months later DD2 was born without Down's
Oh, and the due date was also put back on the 20 week scan which is perfectly normal tooApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
