Does anyone know if the mighty deals tesco voucher can be used on line, thanks0

Can I just say thanks to you both for these posts today.
oh has been having problems with shoulder for a while, also pins and needles and numbness in hands. Hearing you both mention symptoms and causes has made me think and just wanted to say thank you both. For some other reasons I have thought thyroid but this has made me think.
Carpal tunnel was ruled out by 1st Dr, inflammation elsewhere was supposedly the cause, then that was dismissed by 2nd Dr and another cause suggested, physio had drs note (who ruled out ct) saying carpal tunnel so its been a bit of a farse, physio gave a wrist splint but that's now caused/coincided with increased shoulder pain. Oh putting off going back but your posts have made me think and obviously not diagnosing from that but very helpful to get thinking and encourage oh to go back.
Yet again never fails to amaze me how much help on here, in more ways than one, and this is why I like so be around.
Surgeon said to me that often the pins and needles in fingers is usually from the neck or diabetic neuropathy:eek:. However I've been doing neck exercises religiously since seeing him and I now have some feeling in my one middle finger & no pins & needles in that 1 finger. OK it's just 1 finger so far BUT hopefully that rules out diabetic neuropathy (which normally attacks feet first and doesn't just go) so think it really is from my cervical vertebrae.
Going into menopause my thyroid gave up & my pancreas as it seems did all my other hormones. I had ALL (every single one of them) the worst menopausal symptoms imaginable to extreme. The docs should have given me a load of blood tests then as it was obvious to me and stated by myself many times that all my hormones were shutting down & totally out of sync. I felt everything shutting down like switches shutting off.:(
I do feel that I'm being given the wrong thyroid medication - doc has also done some blood tests (when this stone allows blood to be taken) as she is getting the feeling I'm on wrong meds too - 150mcg levothyroxine - the cheaper alternative, which is what they try & brush everyone off on. I don't feel the meds are doing me any good. I'm constantly tired & can't concentrate on anything any more, I just feel like my brain is now shutting down. Thank goodness I've now retired!
TBH I'm seriously considering taking myself off all the meds as I feel far worse than when I started on them. I was pushed into taking prazoles which made me feel really rough & weaned myself off them by taking Manuka & actually cured myself of H. Pylori instead of just masking the symptoms. Pushed onto statins, which make me ill & I can't tolerate except at very low dosage plus it seems there is little/nowt to recommend them to women. How do the pharmaceuticals get away with pushing these to everyone? I forgot to take 1 of my BP meds as it was missed off my repeat prescription for 2 months - my blood pressure remained the same - normal! My water tablets are well known to start diabetes off!
Grrrrr I hate the pharmaceuticals! Having watched my fit & healthy mum slowly & painfully die from side affects of her diabetic drugs that she knew weren't right for her & stopped herself after 3m of taking only to be persuaded to retake as 'it's never been known, these are safe!' Another 3m down the line & they had granulated both her liver and lungs & consultant in Liver Unit said he'd seen before & thought it was the very same drug BUT he wouldn't go up against the wealthy pharmaceuticals!
I worked for a major pharmaceutical and saw all the complaints and sad stories coming in, so that, along with mum, is also why I got into alternatives & research things to the death. Maybe I need to trust my own judgement more?
I've just looked on Amazon & the cissus quadrangularis I've ordered has been dispatched so I'm praying it will get here tomorrow and also praying it works.
Maybe I'll go and see an Ayurvedic or Chinese doc? Maybe I'll go to Australia where my cousin is a practitioner & has trained with the best of them and let her sort me out? I've been trying to ring my aunt as I don't have Caterina's number but she's probably out gadding around somewhere at a fit and healthy 87 year old - at least I seriously hope that's what she's doing!
Hope your hubby gets a 'proper' diagnosis soon!0 -
Just had an interesting "chat" with a SADA manager.
Apparently I have come to their attention for using high value APGs fairly regularly.
Poky little office, me, the manager, a security guard and a couple more underlings.
Everything quite civilised (no coffee offered mind).
After a discussion about the inadequacies of their systems, and targetted shops I informed them of my position, and then told them their options:-
a) Ban me from their store(s) as per SFSB
b) Accept me as collateral damage while head office sorted themselves out.
He chose b.
Interestingly he thought I was not using the APG system in the "spirit of the offer". I told him I was exploiting the weaknesses in the systems of a multi-billion dollar company who were driving down margins of suppliers and cited the price of milk, he of course knew a dairy farmer doing very nicely.
He did get a touch agitated when I mentioned head office.0 -

Afternoon everyone.
I am hoping life is going to be a lot quieter this week, and I can get back on the glitch wagon, I have no idea what is going on with anything.
The hen night I went to on Saturday night went totally pear shaped then the bridesmaid had a hissy fit at the bride and started sending her text messages, saying how horrible all her friends are and that she has had such a horrible day trying to get everything to run smoothly, for nothing, she was a total b**ch from the moment she walked in and spoke to everyone like they were 5 year olds. The bride ended up going home at 11 crying her eyes out. Its such a shame as she is going to remember that night, but we have organised another night out for her this week, to try and make her feel better.
Obviously the bridesmaid is no longer a bridesmaid, but what a shame 2 weeks before the wedding.0 -

Morning all
Does anyone have a Dyson cordless vacuum? Are they worth the money please?
(I'm looking at the Dyson specifically because I have a bad back and it seems a lot lighter than other cordless vacuum's)
Yes I use one at the house I work in, its fab.
Talking of hoovers, OH past a house the other night and a dyson hoover and a washing machine was outside, with a sign saying scrap. So he picked the hoover up and put in the car. He took it home, stripped all the pipes down and found a bottle top stuck in the pipe and all backed up with rubbish. Cleared it all out and it works perfect now. Some people just throw things away without even checking it thoroughly.0 -
Good for you. If I am ever in that position I hope I am as eloquent as you.
As long as you know you are standing on solid ground, you havent broken any laws, there is not much they can do.
Unlike SFSB, I have a "few" more stores to visit.
They do ask interesting questions, like have you done this before ?:rotfl:0
