    Good morning Elite :hello:

Sitting in the conservatory with a cuppa watching the hedgehogs filling their bellies :) 4 here at the moment, 2 of which I believe to be boys. One of them is facing off the other as it doesn't want it near the food  he has now chased him off down the garden  possibly the others are girlies :rotfl: :rotfl: dirty greedy boy

In the distance I can hear a fox barking in the wood over the road from me. Thankfully, my garden is enclosed so nothing can get in, apart from hedgehogs. They use the 5" holes that dh cut in the bottom of our gate and a couple in the fence

Can't sleep again, mind running wild thinking about shopping and loo rolls (how sad is that) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Westie if you are around, I hope you are ok, I've missed you posting so please hurry back 'home'. Oh, and bring some photos with you please. How has your project and exam? been going, well I trust x

Good Morning Alto Jack, Hipe you are recovering well. I can only sleep properly if I take a nytol tablet but I try not to every night .:o wonder if anyone else is up lol

Don't forget Busch Gardens ;) I think I've been to them all. My aunt and uncle have lived in Florida for over 25 years, I think they get bored of taking every one to Disney. I don't blame them.

If you go near a Hobby Lobby or Michaels (Like the Range and Hobby craft), there's usually a 50% off voucher on their website you can download to your phone or print, it's one voucher per item, per transaction. I've had a lot of fun with those :D

I adore Michaels. Come out with bags full of beads and lots of paint brushes.
Mum alway gets the click on cross stitch frames. Then there is Jobs Ann fabrics but not sure paper !!!!!! is queen is thing. I pick up lots of spare fabric samples and use in quilting and applique.

Never spend anywhere without a coupon as standard 10% off minimum in every store and restaurant.

Good morning :)bit of a dismal day so glad I spent the weekend in the garden and not shopping;)as I can do that today.Think I might just spend some double up CC points.
  • I'm still up :(. Can't sleep at all now as both shoulders are hurting so much I just can't lie down. Went to see surgeon last week, he said any operation on left rotator cuff would be unsuccessful & further surgery on right wouldn't be successful either. I have arthritis everywhere.:( I went to see an endocrinologist about 2 weeks ago and although I've had 2x24hr urine tests BUT she didn't ask me to have the blood tests that she has suggested in her reports. Surgeon said it just MIGHT be all my hormones out of synch - bloody hell, I've been telling them all that for years! :( Have to go see my doc (4 wk wait for appt.) to see if she'll run them instead of me waiting 6m to go back to endocrinologist & then waiting, however long, to re-see her!

He also told me after I'd had Xrays that I have cervical vertebrae out which may be why shoulders are so bad with referred pain and this is also probably why my hands are numb and I have pins and needles in them. I also have lumber vertebrae out. All he could suggest was physio (been there too many times with no relief) and extra strong painkillers ie. morphine. I don't want to go there after seeing hubby dosed up on these and sleeping all the time plus not being himself when he's on them.

If I were a dog I'd be put down out of kindness. I'm zombified once more.

I've been searching the web (as I do) and have found "cissus quadrangularis" which athletes use for sore/torn tendons, damaged muscles and bones. I wonder if any of you lot have tried it for arthritis? I've ordered some anyway as it seems it might work (72hrs solid of researching it) as I've gotten to the stage where I'll try anything now. Just wishing I'd done a next day delivery now, maybe I'll go to town & see if any of the health shops or the chinese herbalist there carries it. The herbalist -probably!

I have to do a CC or HD soon to use up my vouchers but I just can't concentrate enough to do a 'proper' shop at the moment.

I have noticed that some of the deli meats are still on silly prices on Waitrose. The Ox Tongue @15p/100gm is still on, there is some free range turkey slices at 17p for 100gm (instead of £2.79:D), Parma Ham 42p, Bresaola 42.9p (Spiced salted Beef -usually £4.29). Unfortunately a lot of the deli stuff our Asda doesn't carry but those in a different, maybe more affluent area could have some very good buys as no doubt there are other items available. Do 'any 2 for 1' OR just "2 for 1" offers in Waitrose work against Asda if all are the same price eg. Young's Gastro Fish??

How excited am I, that starting today we have an hourly train service in the morning?

    :o:o:o:o

Ears are on alert to hear the first 'new' train on timetable to pull into station

  • OMG - Bring back the pre Beeching trains! I used to love going everywhere by train when I was younger. Unfortunately since Beeching closed down many routes the old train lines/routes have now mainly become roads.
    How short sighted was this?
