Hello elite! How beautiful has today been?!
I hope you've all been out enjoying the sunshine. I've just moved inside after soaking it up for a couple of hours. I'm reading an excellent book at the moment called The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. She's quite an organised person so she divides each area of her life into months and then works on doing more of what makes her and others happy rather than what she 'should' do. The chapter on decluttering is brilliant and I can't wait to put some of it into practice.
I've also started up a personal project of my own which I'm so happy about. I was contacted by a journalist for an online magazine who wants to write about the idea. It's early days yet but I'm hopeful it will do a lot of good.
Oh and TS my take on shapewear- I wore some Spanx on Monday that just evened out my hip lumps and bumps. It was pretty comfy BUT I did go out for dinner which put a lot of pressure on said Spanx! So I think ok for an event where you aren't eating much but if you're going out for dinner, go for something a bit looser so you can feel relaxed xxDebt free 6th December 2014

RANT ALERT: Families.
I now have TABLEGATE Dotty.
With everything that is going on in the world I cannot believe someone would tell Mr TS they are thinking of not coming because of where I sat them. It makes me so sad.
Luckily I heard from one of my family this morning that due to health issues they won't be able to make it so I have been able to accommodate the other side. But I do not see why I should have had to do anything. I am so enraged at the moment, not sure how I am going to talk to them all next week without getting upset again. All I can say is selfish it's just selfish.
Why not say ok fine if that's how you feel. I've bent over backwards to accommodate you but I'm at a loss as to how I can change the plans again. So if you would rather not come then so be it. Bet they would still come xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -
You have much much more self control than me I would have said fine don't bother probably not those words :rotfl:
Cancel it and enjoy your birthday :j go for a meal with Mr Stubby and your girls/partners
I would be fuming at the ungratefulness of them all talk about me me me
I did tell Mr Stubby to tell them that at first.
I think it's all been kicking off behind the scenes. If Mr Stubby had left it how I first had it this cousin would have been with their grown up kids. :sighs: It was said aunt didn't have right to come round and tell me to change things. :sighs again:
If I had not had to pay up front by 2 weeks I would have cancelled it but definitely not paying for their hotel room now so they have lost out. My silent revenge.
My family are still all over the place and won't have a care about it just happy to see each other under the same roof. :A0 -
I agree with cjj. If they're thinking of not coming, tell them you'd prefer a birthday free of negativity so they should continue in that line of thinking and stay home!Debt free 6th December 2014

I am so annoyed by this:mad: ungrateful people, i would NEVER dare say anything like that ,let alone think it!
You and me both bubbs.
Sorry to have a rant everyone had to let it out as I couldn't believe it to be honest.
But I now have ball to get ready to go to.
I think I might be Cinderella tonight. :j0
