thanks bessdog...dipping our toes in on behalf of DS1 who likes the look of manchester...he's happy to go into halls for first year but wants to be a little out of the action but easily reachable for the following years.
We are floating the idea of purchasing somewhere but alot depends on price etc...
He is very sold on the course at Manchester at the moment and its actually his first choice over Oxford...a lot can change in a year but he does like to forward plan...hence any suggestions welcome!

There are some great apartment in Deansgate which rent out easily if you wanted to keep the place on after he has left Uni - the foreign students usually snap them up straight away as money is no object to lots of them

Unfortunately my son went to Manchester for 3 years of partying and little work :(

Didsbury as someone mentioned earlier is a much nicer place - we used to go for meals there when we went over to see him but is a lot further out and my son found Fallowfields a long journey in as its a busy road - they are getting a new tram system in so that might make things easier - my son has been left a year so havent been over for a while other than to shop - its a great place

I've given up with the new apg system, I can't get it to work on most receipts, 3 days and still waiting for sada to "fix " it.

Is their anyone still with old apg system on here who could run some receipts for me and send me the vouchers via email ? thank you all

    Hi everyone :)

Something really exciting has just happened :j I found a bag to match my green sandles that didn't have a matching bag. I only paid £2.42 from the local auction and it matches perfectly :j:j:j

    bessdog...thanks for the info...
its a 4 year course that DS1 is looking at so we figured that potentially buying somewhere might be a good option
This is all based very much on paper at the moment but we have booked an open day slot at the uni in June to go up and get a feel for the area.

Strangely Manchester has been on ds radar for quite a few years he picked the course quite a while back and has been consistent in his top 2 uni's ...
I guess it makes our job easier by knowing exactly where he wants to go but theres always the worry that he wont be offered either of his first 2 choices.

That kind of comment just goes to show that your more interested in yourself than what's going on around you. I bet if the fire stations closed in your local area you'd have something to say.

Typical bloody Tory, don't care unless the cuts are actually hurting them. :(

Your comments are becoming increasingly unpleasant rather than just repetitive and boring. I really don't know why you haven't been kicked off (yet again if you really are who you say you are) but I just wish you would shove off and leave us all in peace. Your mother clearly didn't teach you to keep your trap shut if you haven't got anything nice to say.

    Afternoon Elite!

Sorry I've not be present of late.

Went to my non local Sada on Saturday as I'm not comfortable spending apg's at my local. Plus my non local has udi's so I did a c and c. What a trout I got with a £11.00 APG. Took it away to check and then made a right carry on aUthorising it. Just cos she had to type in the value, thats not normal. Anyway i left and now ive still one apg of £6.45 to try and use somewhere. Somewhere non trouty. Trouble is i pick a non trout but it needs anuthorised. Am gonna stixck to c and c.
