Airbnb cheaper in euro?

I recently booked through Airbnb and was slightly irked to find that I had to pay a 3% conversion fee. I have a nationwide account so generally pay for things in Euro where necessary as I find I get a better rate.
I'm now looking at another place on Airbnb and decided to check out the difference in price by changing my settings to pay in Euro. Turns out I would pay £401 for a place for 4 nights if i paid in Sterling inc the conversion fee, but with my settings in Euro i would pay £384 for the same place. Under the total it actually says the price in sterling but doesn't mention any conversion charge!
Seemingly it looks as though they'd even chargee in gbp as I'm based in UK.
Slightly confused-has anyone else out there done this and used it to their advantage?
