From recollection (traffic light offence many years ago!) I think it is just a case of sending your driving licence off to the DVLA - they issue you with a new one - presumably there is the usual charge, I can't remember now - you will probably get the new style photo driving licence in return. I don't remember it as being particularly onerous.

Yes you pay for a new photo style driving licence from DVLA.

If you have a photo licence you still pay for a replacement. However I believe it is free if you are changing address!!! At least it used to be.

Yes if you change address (ie use a family members address) and the points are due to come off, then they will come off for free, and you can always change back to your address a month later!!

    Hope that helps.

There's absolutely no point at all getting points removed - it's a waste of money.

Using someone else's address is illegal and not a good idea.
