parking charge notice

Hi All, am newbie here so needed a little advice about a parking charge notice. Thanks in advance for any advice posted. My partner received a parking charge notice after overstaying by 31 minutes. The charge is £100. This ticket was given to her at a gym where she pays £250 per year to be a member. I have appealed to the issuer who rejected my appeal. My worry now is that their rejection letter states that they may involve a debt recovery firm. Now the big question is can they force this upon me without a court hearing, because I am going all the way with this. I am worried in case a debt recovery agent turns up when I am not here. She received the notice through the door 18 days after the incident. She is allowed 3 hours free parking in the car park while using their facilities. We have proof from the gym that she was in their premises.

In the absence of any info about the PPC or debt collector involved, you need to start by reading post four of the Newbies Sticky at the top of this forum for all you need to know about scummy debt collectors in general.

This should be of no worry to you in the slightest, they are just powerless bullies that send out scrap paper that may have red capital letters on it!
