JET2 Passport Requirements

Hello there,
I am looking to book a holiday from Belfast to Majorca from the 31st May to 6th of June, however my passport expires on the 7th of June. I am travelling with JET2. Has anyone experienced this and knows whether I'll run into any problems? According to the Gov.uk when travelling to Spain "your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay; you don’t need any additional period of validity on your passport beyond this." I cannot renew my passport as it is an EU passport - and renewing it in UK takes approximately 1-2 months
.
Please let me know whether I should be safe to travel or not , thank you so much!

Jet2 will be checking that you hold valid documents for the country you are visiting (if they allow people on board with incorrect documentation and they are refused, the airline gets fined) As you have the correct documents for the country you are visiting there should be no issue
- the .gov site will be specific for UK passport holders so you may just want to double check for your passport country0 -
Take a phone number for the British consulate.
Just in case there's an ash cloud or similar!0 -
You should be fine, but there is always the risk of a jobs-worth at the gate! Firstly, since you are a citizen of an EU country other than the UK you might still have a national identity card: this would be valid instead of a passport for the journey you intend to take. Secondly, check the website of the Spanish embassy (or indeed any EU embassy) and see if you can find something to print off saying that your passport will be fine. Failing that, ask the question by email. And since Spain does not have a reputation for being the most efficient country in Europe, you might ask the same question of the Austrian embassy, simply about a visit to the Schengen countries rather than specifically about Austria. The rules are exactly the same for all the Schengen countries.0

You only seem to be focusing on the entry requirements for Spain, don't forget that the UK also has entry requirements.
You probably wouldn't want to be booked on the last flight of the day out of Majorca for Belfast as if you miss it you won't be getting back into the UK without a valid travel document0 -
The potential issue is if there is a delay. Its not cheap to get a replacement travel document and insurance will probably not cover the costs if it was a risk you were aware of.0
