SAAS funding for non-UK students

Hey,

I have just applied for my 2nd year tuition fees. I am in my 1st year of university now, but not a UK resident (not lived in Scotland for 3 consecutive years either).

However, somebody mentioned to me recently, that there is a possibility to get SAAS bursary and loan as long as I commit to finish my full degree here in Scotland? He wasn't quite sure on the details and I haven't managed to find anything about this on the SAAS website.

Is there such a thing? Anybody could give me some advice on this? Is there perhaps another way to get the loan?

Are you a EU student? Have you been living in Europe for a couple of years before heading to Scotland to start your studies? In that case, you should have had your tuition fees paid by SAAS before you started your degree. I'd contact your school's financial office to get that sorted, as the deadline for next year's fuding may be coming up soon.
