Lawnmower Reapir -What type of glue/epoxy?

Hi All
I've got a bosh Rotek R34 lawnmower, while cutting the grass today I missed a dog bone which jammed the blade. Cleared out the bone, motor works fine, blade doesn't spin.
Upon investigation, the motor has a metal shaft into the center of a plastic gear, this has "melted" and now has no grip meaning the gear/blade won't spin. Is there any way of repairing this? there is noo room to drill/screw so I was thinking of a glue or an epoxy? Anyone know of anything that might be strong enough to do the job?
Regards
Paul

If the plastic around the shaft has melted there is a reasonably chance that the shaft will no longer be "true", and thus the blade could quite easily be off balance when turning.
I would be very wary of repairing something like that myself (and I've been known to do bodges), as you don't want the blade to be off balance...
If the gear is some form of intermediate gear (IE motor with gear, gear, shaft for the blade with a gear), then a two part epoxy might do it, but it's going to be under a lot of centrifugal force which could easily throw the glue off if it doesn't get a really good bond.0 -
Try a product called JB weld, get it on ebay. Ive used it for several repairs now and it does what it says if you follow the instructions.0
