I tried this on the foreign exchange board already
the guide there kindly suggested asking you guys.
Has anyone got any idea of what's going on with Auctionchex? I just went to log into my account with them last night and the website is for sale with no forwarding address. Have had some money sitting with them in USD for a while (awaiting a better exchange rate) and this has put the wind up me a bit! Would really appreciate it if anyone knows anything as google isn't throwing up any answers.

I'm hoping you get some responses here as I know a few people have mentioned it in the distant past.
Good luck , as you say Google seem to be very quiet on the issues- apart from the main site the rest of the responses are years out of date.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. On the auctionchex website there's mention of another 'venture' called auctionpix. Well a bit of digging turned up a guy named Eddie St Clare who appears to be the CEO of auctionpix /auctionchex.
He's on LinkedIn: https://uk.linkedin.com/in/eddiestclare
He's on twitter (and was very recently as he talks about voting on May 7th): https://twitter.com/EddieStClare
Oh and email: ADMIN@AUCTIONPIX.CO.UK although it's generic so could get ignored.
And his address on this information page: http://www.zoominfo.com/c/Auctionpix/6064727 matches the one I found on a whois lookup on the web. So it's probably the same guy.
I hope he can answer your questions for you.0 -
Thanks so much Pembroke! That's who I have as the email contact and I mailed him last thursday and heard nothing back. I'll start stalking him on social media now
I did know the company had run into trouble since they were no longer able to cash dollar cheques due to money laundering issues but I didn't know they'd disappeared altogether. It's not even my money I'm chasing either
still haven't told the person who 'owned' the cheques about this and I'm hoping to present her with a solution rather than a problem! Will let you know how it goes....

Thank you, an update would be useful as I'm sure there are still people on here that have used them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I meant to come back and post on this. It seems the money is gone. I tried contacting the guy, no response. Then I tried the FSA but it turned out they weren't FSA authorised. I was sure I'd checked that at the time but I guess not. So out of pocket unfortunately. I'm not sure if anyone else had any other experiences?0
