Tax credits

Hi Last year our tax credits were stopped as my wage took us over the threshold. Since this has happened my husband is no longer working (he has end stage renal failure and is awaiting a transplant) I teach full time but he is no longer working and therefore not earning. When he was working his income had been zero for the previous year on tax credits anyway as he was working for himself and hadn't earned. My question is whether his non-working status will change anything with regard to if we are eligible for tax credits. should I reapply or will it not make any difference?

Also does anyone know of any other help we may be eligible for - I'm really struggling
Barclays overdraft £1290 :(
MBNA £3239 :(
MBNA £4108 :(
Extra payment a week challenge (started WC 11.5.2015) This week - £0 Total - £0
£1000 emergency fund - £0/£1000

Does you husband have any income, such as SSP or ESA? Do you own a home or rent? Any children?

How long has your husband suffered with his renal health, if more than 3 months they could by eligible for PIP. There is are useful guides here with information on the descriptors: LINK and LINK

For people to best advise you they need some more information.

No, if you work full time your husband's working status won't make any difference. When you say "stopped" did you come out of the system or get a zero award? If you got a zero award just give them a ring with income details, if you came out then you'll probably need to reapply.
