Hi,
I have just waxed my oak furniture using Oak Wax Polish and this is what has happened to some of the wood finish. Can someone advise what has caused this and how these write marks can be removed from the wood?

I would resize that photo, or post in on photobucket or the like or at least warn people it'll use 15GB of their data to view it :rotfl:0

looks like glue residue in the grain.
What was the finish before you waxed it?

Hi,
The finish was the same but without any of these white lines / marks showing.
I used a clear based wax polish do you think it would be best to try a darker polish to get rid of these white marks?
If I use Mr Sheen polish then the marks go away temporally until the polish drys and then come back again.0 -
Hi,
This is the item in question:

Did you use a brush or a cloth to wax it? A waxing brush may get into the grain enough to get the residue out...0

Hello,
Thanks for your response,
I used a lint free cloth to apply the wax.
Can you suggest any brushes that I could try ?
Thanks.0
