How should I send a parcel to Peru

I have just sold an item (a board game) which was a BIN listing.

I now find out that the buyer is in Peru. What is the best options for sending an item there ?

parcel is 33cm x 43cm x 9cm weight 1.4 kg

Is Royal mail the best option ?

Should i get the signed for service, which I think is about £5 extra

The listing said Royal Mail 2nd Class

Global Shipping was ticked, but this has been bought directly, which is a surprise, as I also ticked the 'no other international options' button (or whatever it is called)

If its not a GSP Sale, then RM Int'l Signed For & it will take 4-8 weeks to arrive
  • Royal Mail is your best option, signed for depends on how much the game was worth.

I'd personally send it international economy, at £10.76 (obviously as long as it isn't worth more than about £20). The likelihood of it taking longer than standard is slim, but the savings are quite large.

That seems ideal .. game only worth a tenner, so I suppose for the buyer paying 200% to include postage is fair, anything extra then seems to be a bit extreme.

I would strongly advise against RM economy as it is the old surface mail and a buyer is going to have a protective claim in well before it can be delivered.

RM suggest 10-12 weeks for non European items.

DO NOT use RM Int'l Economy outside of Europe, unless your buyer is wanting it for Christmas. The service is slow at best & when being shipped overseas, the Royal Mail fill up a container & wait till its full before sending it, which could be several weeks & then it will travel by ship.

    RM Standard is Air Mail

my last INR claim was for South America , got a full refund 6 weeks after posting and with a fairly high percentage of their feedback left mentioning having delivery issues - or thanking sellers for dealing with issues of non delivery :(

I have rather petulantly blocked South America now as I had another INR there last year as well after just a few weeks. as the OP had not specified overseas postage nor had the buyer asked about it, I might be tempted to either invoice for a premium service, or else see if buyer wanted to cancel.

If they did not enquire about postage BEFORE bidding, then get a quote from a reliable courier with tracking, and send them the updated invoice. See if they pay...

It will be about £30, or upto £70 for some of the more well known couriers!!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
