What does 'let' and 'let agreed' mean?

Hi,

Me and my partner have applied for a house via burchell Edwards, it's on numerous sites such as zoopla, right move etc.
We've paid for our application, now we are just currently waiting on the outcome. But on some sites it says '"let' but the other day it said '"let agreed' but on one other site it says 'let agreed'

We are both getting anxious and hoping it means good news as it only first come first served with the application.

Any help/info would be much appricated.

Kind regards,

Upthereds

Sounds to me like the property has been let.

Or perhaps so many applcations have been received that the LL/agent realises it will be let and does not wish to receie further enquiries.

    1st come 1st served? I suppose some LL do this - I certainly wouldn't!

Well the estate agent said once a application is put forward then no one else can apply for the house, so im hoping as its changed over the past few days it means we've got it.

No news is good news right?

I'm afraid not necessarily in the property market, especially where agents are concerned.

No news could mean you are no longer of interest.....

Sorry to sound negative, but it's best to be prepared.

Why don't you call the agent and ask them?

In my experience in both rental and purchase, once you've got a property, you know you've got a property.

But surely they would be in touch regarding the outcome? Especially as they've received money for the application?

Plus I know they cancelled viewing of the property due to our application.

Thought we'd found our perfect family home in time for our baby to be born.

When I looked on the apps they was already shut unfortunately, and thought I'd asked on here and look on google etc to try and ease my worries.
