u can get itunes to convert all ur songs for u when u add them in your libary.
- Open iTunes
- Click on iTunes – Preferences
- Click on the Importing button at the top of the window
- From the Import Using pop-up menu, click on the encoding format (AAC, AIFF, Apple Lossless, MP3, WAV) to which you want to convert your music files
- Click on OK to save the settings
- Select one or more songs in your iTunes library to convert (Command-Click to select specific individual files or Shift-Click to select files in a row)
- Click on Advanced – Convert Selection to... (the format you selected in preferences above is displayed)
- A copy of the file (or files) will be created in the new format

Though that won't show what format the current library songs are....[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Just do a search in OSX/Windows by file type and then drag the files into a new playlist.0

well windows tells u what format they are in, right click on a song and click 'show song file' or something to that effect. then right click on the actual file through windows (not itunes) and click properties. and it will tell u in there either mp3 acc etc...0 -
It would appear that the OP has a large media library and wants to burn a cd using the songs already in the library.. but a lot of them are diff formats and he doesnt want to go through them 1 by 1 right clicking on the song to see the format

You dont need to do this.;)
In itunes in the Category section above the songs in your library or playlist e.g Name, album, artist etc right click. It will give you a whole load of catergories to show in a drop down menu.
Go down the list and select "kind" then when you close the menu down and look at you songs one of the catergories will be the file format.
Just click on the "kind" catergory at the top and all your songs will be listed in accordance to what type of format they are. and then happily burn at your hearts content:D0 -
I didn't know if there was a format option in that list and at work so can't check
But yes you've answered the OP's question spot on Millionaire. [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

You can of course use windows search for *.mp3 or *.aac and that will bring up your required file types.Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Arthur C. Clarke0
