Holiday Cottages/Parks in England

As I will be heavily pregnant in August with 5th child and we are fairly broke we have decided to stay in England this summer. I'd like to get away if possible with dh and kids to somewhere fairly quiet and rural but within , say , half hours drive of some amenities such as beach , park etc.
Ideally a holiday cottage would be great.
Area is not really a problem although a max drive of 4 hours from London in any direction.
Anyone have any good ideas on cheap places/websites. All cottages on the standard websites are approaching £900 for a family our size for the summer hols which is way over budget.
