Well, everyone had a right good belly laugh when the Conservatives achieved a majority!I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

SNP return an unprecedented MAJORITY vote in Scotland securing 56 seats and the parties that capitulated cannot take responsibility.
No you missed the thrust of what I meant, though to be fair my post could have been clearer.
Labour were probably never going to get more seats than the Tories, even had they won every seat in Scotland, but the fact that the Conservatives scraped over to a majority was in all probability due to the boastful blather from Sturgeon et al, that they would lock them out, that they would have Labour dancing to their tune and so on and so forth, let alone the profligate spending policy they wanted to (and still do poor misguided souls) on the rest of us.
Hence more votes for the Tories and a Conservative majority..Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.
It's the only way to fly straight.0 -

As usual ISTL is trying to argue with 17 different people on 5 different threads, two of whom are Clappers..................so expecting him to keep track of what is going on is tough.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
The SNP are just spinning to shift the "blame", the SNP did help the Tories scrape a majority; not that I'm complaining, the country can make some progress now.
Absolutely, lest we forget, the SNP helped provide the Gov. that the UK needed. So they are not all bad.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

On a one policy ticket. Voting in a 20 year old student as an MP shows that it mattered little who stood for the SNP. Though time will now judge a number of them and their capabilities. In order to demonstrate that they are indeed little more than puppets being pulled along on a tide of optimism.0 -

I must admit that I don't know anything about this young MP, she could be a star of the future (like William Hague was, he was also very prominent when he was even younger than 20). But I tell you what, I'd be willing to bet that she doesn't do as well as Hague in her political career, any takers?Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

I can't answer that as I have got exactly zero idea what skills someone needs to succeed as an MP and/or politician.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Hague was even voted in as an MP until aged 28.0 -

Yes, very hard to define (and some joker will be along in a minute saying things like dishonesty etc.). But I'd rather have my money on Hague than that SNP MP (no offence intended, history might prove me wrong).Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
