No, it would have said there may be. All old plaster and artex may contain asbestos - it used to be widely used. If you're looking at a renovation project, it's something you're always going to need to consider. Likewise asbestos cement sheet roofing - but that's very low risk.Asbestos in garage and roof is not a big concern but in ceilings and wall plasters is a concern. Survey said the presence of Asbestos in wall plasters and Ceilings through out the house.0

Sorry for the typo Adrian. Yes it said May be.. Below is the exact phrase
The verges, or edges, of the roof slopes at the gable are bedded in mortar on an undercloak of asbestos cement sheeting. The mortar is generally sound and no major defects were noted.
I cannot rule out the presence of asbestos in the plaster throughout the house although the risk is low. If you have any concerns regarding this, I recommend that a test is carried out by a specialist who will be able to advise you on this matter (see comment on Asbestos below) prior to carrying out repairs.

He can't rule it out inside. Like they can't rule it out in any house older than about 25 years. That is a typical survey backside covering clause and as AdrainC says, a risk in any renovation.
You deal with it by not disturbing it. It's perfectly safe left where it is. I've already said overboard any textured surface that you want to hide, rather than hack it off. Asbestos control is all about not creating dust.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

The seller has done quite a bit of extension and conversion to the house and he also has painted and decorated the house several years ago(15 - 20 yrs ago)... I am just wondering whether he was aware of Asbestos than and has he taken any precuations... I will ask him for more details on this.0

It doesn't matter if he did or not! The dust will have long gone and it's not your issue to deal with anymore!
You need to chill out or you won't be buying any houses Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth. Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

My solicitor sent me some more search reports and I now see the property has two power cables passing the side and the rear of the garden. They are 11 KV and 33 KV. Its mentioned that the cables belong to Southern electirc and they have permanant rights to access the property(recorded on land registry)whenever a repair is needed and I cant build or extend on that part of land. However the property is already extended and they have not disturbed the cables and left them untouched.
Will having these cables affect my resale value in futuer and does these buried cables pose any health risk?0
