Armathwaite Hall, originally one of England's stately homes, is set in 400 acres of parkland with lake frontage onto Bassenthwaite Lake in the north of the Lake District. The Hall, some parts of which date back to the 17 th Century, has been sympathetically maintained and while the majority of the original features remain, the excellent up-to-date facilities will surpass contemporary expectations. Master Chef Kevin Dowling takes full advantage of local seasonal produce and Cumbrian specialities to create a variety of gastronomic delights in the fine dining, AA Rosette awarded Lake View Restaurant. In addition, the Courtyard Bar and Brasserie offers an informal option to this in an inviting and relaxed atmosphere.
