Hi,
We've got a standard Sky box in our house, but I was wondering if it was possible to get a free upgrade to a Sky HD box?
If so, how do I go about this?
Thanks.

Cancel, then get a new box as part of the retention deal.
Otherwise , you could buy a second hand box (many sell after leaving Sky) and ask for it to be matched to your Sky card.0 -

I have three HD boxes, ones under contract with Sky, ones replaced a plus box and the other replaces an original Sky box. We pay for multiroom and get HD on two of the boxes and the other has the Sky free sat card. Two of the HD boxes were bought off eBay for app £60 each. Even though the box we use on free sat is HD we are unable to receive HD or record, we new this before buying the eBay HD box.0

So if I bought a HD box myself, how much extra would it cost for Sky to upgrade my package to HD? Currently I've just got the bog standard setup.
Thanks for the replies.0 -
As sky usually supplies the box free for new customers and those who want to upgrade then I would imagine that the normal subscription to HD would apply. You would be best ringing sky and asking for their best deal. Have a read through the forum for obtaining the best deals as they often change.0

You can watch the Freesat HD channels without paying extra.0
