I have an annual domain name renewal up at the end of this week. The ISP will not accept my bank card because it expires at the end of the month. The bank will not issue me with replacement card until 25th May. Anyone else caught in this double bind?

Sounds like a very silly policy.
    Who's the ISP?
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.

Such policy is very common for subscriptions/CPAs.

Silly for a bank to allow just a few days overlap as customers don't spend 365 days a year at home.

All my new cards get sent at least one month in advance resulting in at least a month overlap.

my experience is debit cards come with a month spare but credit cards either a few days spare or not at all, I had to call capital one to send out a card.

If you had more time you could of reported it lost and the bank would have to send a new card.

Sorry I can't suggest anything other than asking someone else to pay the sunscription and you pay them in cash but I can see that being unworkable.

    Could have

The problem is that often the replacement card comes with the original expire date. This depends on the CC company.

It is a bank debit card not a credit card and my bank says they now have a policy of only sending out new cards one week before old card expires.
