Car Parking Cowboys are they Legitimate??

I was wondering if anyone is able to help me. I have used the carparking cowboys website to get them to appeal my POPLA. Parkingcowboys.co.uk is the website that I have used and paid a £15 administration charge via paypal. This was over three weeks ago and I have heard nothing from them and now have received a second notification where my parking charge has now doubled.

I looked at their contact details and I have called the number which is on the website 0330 350 1504. The number is answered by a voicemail that prompts you to leave your number and someone will call back within 24 hours.

I have called this and left my number every day this week and no one has called me back.

Has anyone used the services of these people and had any success? Does anyone have any better contact details?

I would appreciate any help as I am tearing my hair out with worry over this parking fine.

Many Thanks

Parking Cowboys don't actually run any appeals service, the provide a link to Private Parking Appeals.

You were fortunate to get in before the insane ruling on Beavis was announced, PPA have had to suspend taking on new business until the legal situation is clarified, but they will still look after you and anyone who has registered with them.

Send them an email quoting your username from here. If you still don't have any luck come back to me again. I am not associated with PPA but I know some of those who are and can contact them directly.

PPA are definitely legit, they are run by trusted members of this forum to the highest ethical standards.

Just one thing though, PPA have never charged £15, are you sure you aren't getting mixed up with any other "appeals company"?

We might need a new forum to help people who have been ripped off by so called "parking appeals" companies who have made false promises to help people who have been ripped off by parking companies.

The Parking Cowboys screen just sends an email off to the appeals company (Parking Cowboys get a commission for each person who signs a contract for the service, but they don't run the actual service). Did someone get back to you and actually form a contract with you - if so who?

I would just like to say that I have managed to obtain contact with Private Parking Appeals, they have been most helpful and I feel confident now that my case is being looked at and will hopefully get some resolution.

Mmmmmmm......how interesting. 'PPA are definitely legit, they are run by trusted members of this forum to the highest ethical standards.' Which trusted members on these forums, SevenTowers?

those details have been published on here several times since last year, but I believe the mods and admins have removed those details, so although I know who a few are, I wont be saying and doubt anyone else will do so either , not unless MSE staff have a different policy in place , which up to now they havent

I will say I have no association with any of them other than through these forums, but all are regular posters and not hard to ascertain who they may be ;)

neither have I ever been associated with the other now defunct firms either, my advice is independent and free (but not always liked or welcomed)

As a newbie, by giving you some forum names, would you be any the wiser?

Which person? Eastender's Bianca's former husband as the first name; terminological inexactitude as the surname?

Do you have to press the Rewind button to be able to play that spiel over and over? Or do you have it on a continuous loop? :)
